Why is not even a snippet of his music playing in the background here? African people -- we respond to rhythms, to music. I like the website -- but it could be so much richer. Also, have you sought/gotten any support from Ben Okri? Different cultural tradition, but perhaps not so much.Another possibility for helping fund the project is www.kickstarter.com. Several film projects have been funded successfully using the venture capital website. I believe they take a 3% cut. (I call it "venture capital for the people, by the people.") I don't know if your fundraising guy has suggested it. If he hasn't, he's not earning whatever it is you're paying him. A Black film about Atlanta raised a sizable sum -- far more than its stated goal -- and donors wanted nothing in return.
